THREE DOG NIGHT CELEBRATION
The Three Dog Night Celebration on April 18th was awesome! Watch for more information and pictures from the event…..and as always, thanks so much for your support!
Freedom’s Dining in the Dark event was a huge success and raised almost $10,000 to support our work! Diners enjoyed a silent auction offering lots of fun items as well bidding on a personalized charcoal portrait of a pet or person by Chris O’Herron of Almost Home Studios. During dinner when participants were blindfolded, many diners were challenged by pouring iced water from a large pitcher into glasses and buttering a dinner roll! Diners also commented that it was easy to feel somewhat isolated even though they knew they were sitting with numerous other folks. The experience was certainly impactful and helped all of us to understand a bit more about the challenges of being visually impaired. Watch for Save the Date information for next year’s event!
Open Kennel 2012
Though the weather was a bit challenging……a good time was had by people and pups alike! Many visitors tried the blindfold walk, puppies played and it was a great opportunity for visitors, friends, clients and puppy raisers to come together. There was plenty of food, fun, conversation and wet dogs! Some pups went home with their new Puppy Raisers and even the “brand new” pups who were too young for visitors in Freedom’s Puphouse could be seen on the new KennelKam.
Thanks to all who came out to join us and especially to Puppy Raiser, Charlene Picard (Wanda’s Mom), for providing these great pics.
